After 9pm on December 20th at the intersection of East Avenida de los Arboles and Oak Brook Drive, a 70-year-old driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the breaks. This caused his SUV to accelerate and crash through a wall of a backyard. The car went through the wall and came to a stop on the hot tub in the yard, next to a swimming pool.
Thee 70-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, and was transported to a local hospital. The victims of the crash had to be pulled out of the pool by firefighters.
