On Saturday, February 2nd, a man riding a motorcycle crashed into a broken down car on the northbound side of Highway 101. This man was later identified as Khoa Ha, 41-year-old man from San Jose.
At 2AM on February 2nd, Ha was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 near Metcalf Road when he collided with a broken down car in the lanes of Highway 101. Before the accident, a woman in a Dodge Charger swerved across lanes to avoid debris in the road when she lost control of her vehicle. Her can "spun out" and according to the California Highway Patrol, had become partially disabled.
The motorcycle driver did not see the broken down Dodge and crashed into the vehicle, ejecting from his motorcycle. Ha was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is still being investigated by California Highway Patrol.
