Back in February in San Francisco, California, two pedestrians were struck, one by an anonymous hit-and-run driver and the other by a 40-year-old truck driver. One of the pedestrians was killed at the scene of the accident, and the other was dragged down the road, but survived.
The fatal accident was the first to occur at around 8:07PM near California Street and 18th Avenue. A 64-year-old woman named Zhao Guan was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a westbound silver sedan on California Street. The exact vehicle that struck her has not yet been identified.
The second accident involved a 47-year-old pedestrian who was hit by a large box truck at 10:27PM near First and Howard Street. The victim was trapped under the truck and dragged for about a half a block. The 40-year-old truck driver was arrested after the accident. The victim was hospitalized and is now in stable condition.
