On Saturday, April 27th at about 9:35am, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash that took place on Sepulveda Boulevard near Kent Avenue. The motorcyclist was identified on Wednesday, May 1st as Matthew Izzo, age 31.
“The lone driver of a 2016 Ford Fusion was exiting south from the service road of the 4000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard across from the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Kent Avenue. The Ford Fusion made a left turn, crossing the path of a motorcycle traveling west on Sepulveda Boulevard, subsequently causing the motorcyclist to collide into the vehicle,” says the police statement.
The 21-year-old driver from Torrance was treated for minor injuries at the accident scene. Her name was not released to the public. The use of alcohol or drugs was not found to be a factor in this accident.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the Los Angeles County coroner’s office on April 27th.
